Pelorus 2027 Adventure Agenda

EXCLUSIVE TRAVEL EXPERIENCES FOR DREAMING BIG IN 2027

Every year, the Adventure Agenda brings together a new collection of ideas and exclusive travel experiences that give us a reason to see the world differently. For 2027, each adventure starts with something worth exploring, whether that means stepping into a remarkable story or joining work that is changing what we know about the world.

Follow a trail of clues across India on a Mission Impossible-inspired adventure, join researchers studying the chimpanzees of Senegal or search for Africa’s giants alongside the conservationists working to protect them, take to the water to follow in the wake of William Adams along Japan’s Pacific coast or head north into the Arctic landscapes that inspired Disney’s Frozen and the Kingdom of Arendelle.

Together, these five adventures capture what the Adventure Agenda is about by finding new reasons to explore the world through luxury travel adventures in extraordinary destinations.

A FROZEN JOURNEY ACROSS NORWAY

Step into the real Arctic landscapes, Sámi traditions and whale-filled waters that inspired Frozen

Discover the landscapes and traditions that inspired Disney’s Frozen on a family adventure through Northern Norway. Travelling by private yacht, explore deep fjords framed by snow-covered mountains, stopping at remote islands that form part of the real-world setting behind the Kingdom of Arendelle.

Head ashore to spend time with Sámi reindeer herders, gathering around the fire to hear stories passed down through generations, before mushing huskies across the Arctic wilderness and exploring frozen landscapes by snowmobile. Back on the water, search for orcas and humpback whales alongside marine specialists, using hydrophones to listen to the underwater world as you learn to identify and track them.

As night falls, watch for the Northern Lights from the yacht before settling in beneath them for an outdoor screening of Frozen on deck. Having experienced the Arctic winter first-hand, the world they know from the
screen becomes a family adventure through the real Arctic behind a familiar story.

Discover Japan by Yacht

Follow Japan’s Pacific coast, from Mount Fuji to art islands and ancient cedar forests

Japan’s relationship with the sea goes back centuries. This adventure takes inspiration from William Adams, the English navigator who arrived in Japan by sea in 1600 and became the first Englishman to be granted samurai status. More than four centuries later, follow Japan’s Pacific coast from Tokyo to Kagoshima by private yacht, creating an unforgettable luxury travel adventure through some of the country's most remarkable coastal landscapes.

See Mount Fuji from the water before continuing into the Seto Inland Sea. Explore the contemporary art islands of Naoshima and Teshima, walk among temples and historic ports, and discover the pearl-diving heritage of Ago Bay before meeting Toba’s ama, women who have free-dived these waters for shellfish for centuries.

Further south, hike beneath Yakushima’s thousand-year-old cedars and dive among sea turtles, before returning to the yacht for the final passage towards Kagoshima beneath the volcanic peak of Sakurajima.

The India Investigation: Secrets of Sarita

Follow a trail of clues across India on your own Mission Impossible-inspired adventure

Step into the world of Ethan Hunt as Pelorus’ Mission Series returns with a cinematic journey across India. Mumbai, Satpura, Hampi and Hyderabad become the setting for an unfolding investigation, drawing you through the country’s cities, wilderness and history.

The mission begins on the streets of Mumbai before taking you into Satpura’s tiger country, where you will trek through the jungle and sleep under canvas. From there, fly over Hampi’s ancient ruins at sunrise before continuing to Hyderabad, navigating its bazaars, forts and tombs. Stay in some of India’s most remarkable settings, from private mobile camps along the Denwa River to a restored palace once home to royalty.

As the investigation develops, a different side of India will begin to emerge, shaped by adventure, wilderness and mystery in an experience designed far beyond the conventional luxury travel adventure.

Across Land and Sea: In Search of Africa’s Giants

Track Kenya’s Super Tuskers before joining marine biologists with Madagascar’s humpback whales

Discover Africa’s most magnificent megafauna, from the Super Tuskers of Tsavo to Madagascar’s migrating humpback whales in this luxury travel adventure. Led by a specialist team of conservationists and researchers, giving you exclusive access to each species and landscape, go in search of some of the continent's most extraordinary giants.

By helicopter and on foot, adventure deep into Tsavo in Kenya and spend time with some of the continent’s last remaining Super Tuskers and the conservation teams working to ensure a new generation can follow in their footsteps. Then continue by yacht along Madagascar’s northwest coast, joining marine biologists to follow humpbacks through the Indian Ocean and understand the lives of these ocean giants.

On this journey access remote wilderness beyond conventional safari routes, staying in private tented camps before continuing aboard a private chartered vessel along Madagascar’s remote northwest coast, positioning you closer to the wildlife.

The Thinking Apes of Fongoli: An Expedition to Senegal

FOLLOW FONGOLI’S UNIQUELY ADAPTED CHIMPANZEES AND GAIN A RARE INSIGHT INTO THEIR WORLD

An intrepid expedition to southeastern Senegal to reach the savannah-adapted chimpanzees of Fongoli, a fascinating and rapidly evolving troop of endangered chimpanzees. The opportunity to encounter this community is not currently open to tourism, through Pelorus’ relationship with the Fongoli Savanna Chimpanzee Project and Dr Jill Pruetz, a handful of guests can join the research team in the field, following known individuals through scrub, bamboo forest and exposed rocky plains.

Through rare access, spend time in their world, observing how they hunt, use tools, problem-solve and adapt to life beyond the forest. These remarkable adaptations offer rare insight into one of our closest relatives, and may help us better understand our own evolutionary past.
