SUMMARY
• Managing the growing Sales Team within the Travel division
• With support from the Head of US Sales and the Director of Travel, the Sales Manager is responsible for delivering excellent sales and client service results through a team of Travel Designers
• Supporting the team on planning extraordinary adventures, experiences, and events in some of the most interesting and remote parts of the planet
• Working with a fast moving, young, dynamic, creative and highly motivated team
• Working closely with suppliers and industry individuals to keep your finger on the experiential travel sector pulse
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Management: lead the Sales Team, with a strong focus on targets and managing the performance of individuals. Coach and guide the team to ensure they operate to the highest standard, including client and project management.
• Project planning: work with individual team members to ensure that the client brief is met and creating itineraries which fulfil the client’s intent. Work closely with suppliers, local authorities and subject matter experts from around the world and ensuring that each detail is thought through to deliver a world class experience.
• Client retention and referrals: work with the team to ensure the existing client base is constantly engaged with, aiming for continued repeat business as well as referrals
• Logistics: Full responsibility for the logistics of all of the team’s projects, including itineraries, contingencies, safety procedures, equipment sourcing and ownership of all aspects of logistics and costing of trips. Ensure all communications, safety procedures, permits, travel requirements and insurance are in place.
• Project finances: work with the Head of Operations to oversee all trip costing to ensure all aspects are covered including, contingencies, invoices, payments to suppliers, consultants and relevant third parties

Essential experience:
• At least 5 years’ experience in travel or events and of planning trips and project management
• Previous team management experience
• Previous financial responsibility
Desirable experience:
• Project management qualifications
• Black book of relevant contacts worldwide
Qualifications:
• Degree (or equivalent)
• Languages (desirable)
