Sustainability
The lodge stands as one of the most advanced green accommodations globally, boasting alternative energy sources and a robust social responsibility agenda. Harnessing solar power efficiently for water heating and interior lighting, it prioritizes passive cooling methods, contributing to its carbon-neutral footprint. The establishment champions intensive recycling and waste management initiatives while actively participating in reforestation programs with native species to restore habitats for local wildlife. Beyond environmental efforts, the lodge supports the community by providing teachers to the local El Cascajo school, donating materials for church roof replacements, and sourcing agricultural products, including Galapagos organic coffee and seasonal fruits, predominantly from the El Cascajo community. Furthermore, it fosters community engagement by promoting and integrating activities owned and operated by village residents into its guest programs.
