Sustainability
Phinda Private Game Reserve has reclaimed nearly 30,000 hectares of farming land for wildlife, including 790 hectares of critically endangered ancient sand forest. This is one of the country's most successful rewilding and conservation projects, including protecting the shrinking lion population.
Alongside Africa Foundation, the reserve collaborates with its neighbours to employ locally and invest in community education, as well as prioritising climate-friendly practises and energy-saving initiatives.
