Tswalu Kalahari is driven by a strong conservation and community ethic, with the underpinning ethos of the reserve ‘To leave our world better than how we found it’. To this end, the have a world-class conservation strategy to undo years of damage from farming and to reintroduce native species.
The Tswalu Foundation funds a local school and healthcare centre, providing vital medical services and education to the community while fresh produce is grown on-premises, with water-saving irrigation techniques and sustainable approaches to horticulture.
