Sustainability
Six Senses are committed to improving the ecological and carbon footprint from their resort and spa. They carry out regular Green Day beach cleans, where over 1,357 kilograms of rubbish was collected in 2019 alone. On top of this, organic gardens grow fresh, seasonal produce with no transportation emissions – these gardens are fed and watered by green waste and wastewater.
Extensive conservation programmes ensure the protection of the rare Langur monkeys, and coral propagation.
The hotel uses a water filtration system which they have also supplied to a number of local communities and all hot water is heated by solar power.
Plastic bottles are also substituted to reusable glass alternatives.
