Shape the Future of Experiential Travel at Pelorus
At Pelorus, we believe travel should ignite wonder, create legacy, and transform the way people engage with the world. As we enter a bold new chapter of global expansion, we’re seeking a visionary Director of Travel—an entrepreneurial leader who thrives on challenge, elevates those around them, and builds opportunity at scale.
This is not a role for the conventional. This is a rare chance to take the reins of one of the most exciting and ambitious experiential travel businesses in the industry and lead it into its next era of performance, presence, and purpose.
Your Mission
As Director of Travel, you will shape and lead Pelorus’ global travel strategy—spearheading expansion across Europe and the US, while unlocking specialist DMC operations in key emerging markets. Reporting directly to the founders, you will work side-by-side with our executive leadership team to drive both strategic direction and commercial execution.
You’ll lead a young, dynamic, and deeply motivated team of travel professionals—cultivating high-performance cultures, exceeding revenue targets, and creating experiences that redefine the limits of luxury.
The Impact You’ll Create
Guide and mentor a top-performing Travel Team while scaling international operations.
Leverage a robust network of HNW/UHNW clients, industry innovators, and luxury partners.
Open doors to new markets, create scalable systems, and push beyond conventional luxury travel.
Be a key voice in Pelorus’ global strategy, helping set the tone for how we inspire our clients and elevate our brand.
Your Responsibilities
Lead and manage a dynamic, and highly motivated Management team.
Take full responsibility for team performance, communication flows, and efficient task delegation.
Work closely with the Head of Product and the wider product team on strategic development and innovation.
Effectively communicate new product innovations and experiences to prospective clients.
Drive sales performance and revenue growth in key global markets with the Sales Manager and Head of US Sales.
Oversee all travel operations in collaboration with the Head of Operations to ensure seamless delivery.
Play a key role within the Pelorus Directors team, influencing company-wide strategy and long-term planning.
Identify, engage, and secure repeat UHNWI/HNWI clients through relationship-driven business development and support efforts with new direct client and trade account business development.
Maintain exceptional standards across client experience and supplier management processes.
What You’ll Bring
You are a high-impact leader with over six years’ experience in a senior-level travel or luxury role. You understand how to balance creativity with commercial acumen, vision with discipline. Your network is strong and international. Your mindset is strategic and relentlessly curious. Your results? Proven, consistent, and inspirational.
A track record of surpassing commercial targets.
Experience operating in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Digitally fluent, analytically sharp, and organised to a fault.
What We Offer
A global platform with teams in the UK, US, and Europe.
A competitive salary and bonus structure tied to individual and team performance.
Freedom to lead, influence, and drive innovation at scale.
Progressive benefits: birthday off, foundation days, personal development time, and FAM trips.
Flexible working in a high-performance, creatively driven culture.
This Is More Than a Role.
At Pelorus, we don’t just create journeys - we build moments that transform. The Director of Travel is not only a leader, but a visionary custodian of that purpose. If you’re ready to drive change, shape industry standards, and leave a legacy of excellence, we’d love to speak with you.
