Despite its name, the Namib Desert isn’t as dry as it sounds. There are some brilliant activities here, so spend a morning or afternoon on a scenic drive to sight wildlife gathered around watering holes, or enjoy the landscape on foot with a hike around the hills. There are also stables for guests to traverse the desert on horseback. As night falls, spend an evening stargazing using one of the myriad telescopes dotted around the tents. There is also an open-air cinema, a spa with two couple-sized treatment rooms that uses indigenous ingredients, a well-equipped fitness centre and swimming pool.
