For a more secluded stay, opt for a two-bedroom villa to experience the delights of a private terrace and plunge pool engulfed in luscious greenery and exciting wildlife. Designed to echo nature, the architecture throughout Morgan’s Rock is unique with odes of tropical influences. A pleasing touch is the incorporation of lovely artwork and pottery hand-crafted by local artisans from the village of San Juan de Oriente.

Immerse in a superb gastronomic experience during a stay at Morgan’s Rock. Whether you’re sitting at the farmhouse or with an ocean breeze on your face, prepare for a mouth-watering treat. With almost 60% of its produce sourced from the premises, meals are fresh, healthy and entirely sustainable. Indulge in Nicaraguan dishes, infused with delicious international flavours before relaxing with a refreshing beverage and unrivalled tropical views.

Sustainability

The lodge was designed and constructed with sustainability in mind, engaging local artisans who used sustainably sourced wood. Throughout the building process, efforts were made to respect local communities and minimize environmental impact, avoiding tree removal and land excavation. Solar panels are employed to heat bathwater, and initiatives in tree planting, reforestation, and environmental education are significant, helping to combat poaching, deforestation, and illegal logging. The Private Reserve stands as one of the last sanctuaries of its size along Central America’s Pacific coastline, playing a critical role in the conservation of regional wildlife habitats.

Why we love it

As the private reserve welcomes two species of endangered turtles year-round, this creates wonderful opportunities to witness the special processes of both nesting and hatching. Observing baby hatchlings scuttle towards the ocean is a truly unforgettable moment.
