ON LAND
Thanks to the varied landscape, there’s a whole array of wildlife making it the perfect location for a safari. From game drives, horseback riding safaris and expert walking safaris, you’ll be able to get intoxicated in the wildlife (think lions, leopards, wild dogs, elephants and rhinos). There are also myriad conservation opportunities for travellers, so spend a day in the Matobo Hills National Park tracking rhinos on foot, your expert guide providing you with a unique experience to get close up to these endangered animals.
For those that want to take the action up a notch, abseil to see Zimbabwe’s cliffs and falls from a completely new angle. There is also a range of hikes and treks that can be undertaken from the pine-covered hills in Chimanimani National Park to the red sandstone cliffs of Chilojo, (we’d recommend going at sunset when the colours dance over the cliffs, creating a spectacular sight).
