SHAPE THE FUTURE OF TRAVEL AT PELORUS

At Pelorus, we believe travel should go beyond luxury - it should inspire exploration, spark curiosity, and transform the way people engage with the world. As we enter a new chapter of global expansion, we’re seeking a highly motivated Travel Designer with a solutions-oriented mindset and creative flair to join our team of ambitious, forward-thinking professionals.

This is a rare opportunity to work with one of the most ambitious experiential businesses in the industry, redefining what’s possible in the realm of luxury travel.

Your Mission

As a Private Client Manager, you are the primary guardian of the client relationship, owning client intent, expectations, and long-term value. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional pre-sale and relationship experience, converting highly tailored proposals, and cultivating enduring client loyalty through repeat travel, referrals, and advocacy.

Acting as the internal “voice of the client,” the Private Client Manager ensures that each journey reflects the client’s emotional drivers, motivations, and desired outcomes - maintained consistently from first engagement through post-trip reactivation.

The Impact you'll Create

  • Design inventive and pioneering experiences, pushing the boundaries of luxury travel.

  • Utilize your ambitious sales drive to accelerate business growth through strong individual and team performance.

  • Champion sustainability in the travel industry, incorporating environmental and social responsibility into the experiences you design.

Your Responsibilities

Client Relationship Ownership

  • Own the end-to-end client relationship at a group level, from initial inquiry through long-term engagement.

  • Deeply understand and articulate client motivations, emotional drivers, preferences, and desired outcomes.

  • Serve as the guardian of “what the client wants,” ensuring expectations remain aligned throughout design, sale, and delivery.

  • Build trusted, high-touch relationships with ultra-high-net-worth clients, their representatives, and family offices where relevant.

Sales & Conversion

  • Lead proposal presentation alongside Travel Designers / Expedition Designers, articulating value clearly and persuasively.

  • Own conversion of proposals and achievement of individual and team sales targets.

  • Ensure pricing, inclusions, and experiential elements are positioned in a manner consistent with the expectations of the client.

  • Identify and nurture opportunities for repeat travel, generate referral leads, and sell across all Pelorus verticals.

Experience & Lifecycle Management

  • Manage client communication throughout the entire lifecycle.

  • Lead the Client Brief and Intent sections of the Brainstorm, and support Designers with Experience and Destination pitch sections.

  • Maintain expectation alignment across all client touchpoints by proactively managing changes or sensitivities, and produce comprehensive notes following all client interactions to ensure flawless design and delivery execution.

  • Lead all client communication and manage internal/external stakeholders in the event of any client issues/complaints.

  • Proactively communicate with clients regarding comprehensive post-trip feedback and share all notes with relevant Designers and Product teams.

  • Remain engaged post-trip to support reactivation, loyalty, and long-term relationship development.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with Travel Designers / Expedition Designers to ensure all proposals authentically reflect client intent.

  • Act as a conduit between clients and internal teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability.

  • Represent the client’s perspective internally, influencing product development, service refinement, and standards.

Client Data & Intelligence

  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records within the CRM, including preferences, history, and relationship insights.

  • Capture and share qualitative feedback and client intelligence to inform future experiences.

  • Support continuous improvement through structured client insight and feedback loops.

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
