Begin your fly fishing expedition in the Ragaati Conservancy at the base of Mount Kenya, a majestic mountain range home to over twenty glacial lakes. Trek through a diverse terrain of lush montane forests and heather heaths until you reach the turquoise water of Lake Alice, one of the region’s most remote fishing spots, located at an altitude of 3,000 metres and rich with a high concentration of brown and rainbow trout.

Formed by glacial activity over thousands of years, this crater lake is the perfect spot for fly fishing enthusiasts. Cast your line into deep waters for the chance to catch fish weighing up to 12lbs, and marvel at the three peaks of Batian, Lenana, and Nelion that surround the lake, famed for being the highest in Africa after Kilimanjaro.
