Situated in a secluded haven of the park, these tented camps provide excellent access to unexplored areas in the beautifully isolated southern section of Virunga. The facilities are simple yet comfortable with double beds and private wash and toilet facilities. There is space to lounge in your tent as well as, a private veranda to spot the grazing mammals including elephants, warthogs, buffalos, topis and various exotic bird species.
Meals take place either alfresco on your excursions or in the mess tent, which has a well-stocked bar and restaurant serving authentic African fare. For more lounging space there is an additional communal tent, wonderfully relaxing and a great space to chat to fellow travellers or unwind with a book. Activities include walks to Lake Edward, game drives and community visits to see the diverse lifestyles of the park’s communities.
