Spanning the top six floors of a 38-storey skyscraper in the business district Otemachi, Aman Tokyo is as serene as you would expect from the brand and boasts panoramic city views. Just a short drive from the airport and nearby the train station (great if you’re getting a bullet train to elsewhere in Japan), as well as close to major shopping areas, it’s the perfect base to explore the city from.
The hotel’s rooms and suites are lofty urban sanctuaries drawing design inspiration from traditional Japanese residences (think wood, washi paper and stone). With a total of 84, they are the largest rooms in the city and are all bright, airy and spacious. From your abode high above the city, enjoy magnificent views of the Imperial Palace Gardens and Mount Fuji on the horizon on clear days.
