Location

Located in South Island’s Nelson Lakes region, Owen River Lodge is one of New Zealand’s finest fishing lodges. Sitting on the banks of its namesake Owen River, guests are treated to breathtaking views from every angle, as the property overlooks not just the river but also Kahurangi National Park and Mount Owen.

The six guest cottages have been designed with both the angler and non-angler in mind, ensuring everyone is well catered for. With stunning river, valley, and National Park views, the cottages are light and airy with lofty ceilings and fine artwork alongside recycled Oregon beams and woodwork.

Cuisine

Dining here operates from a backyard-to-table approach. Their onsite garden is the source of the majority of their dishes, with lunches typically served riverside and dinners being a four-course family-style affair accompanied by excellent local wine and beer.
