From the comfort of your private deck spot bear cubs and their mothers hang out on the lawn in front. After an action-packed day, settle down by the fire in the charming dining room where homemade cuisine with a unique west coast twist is served. Expect freshly caught seafood, herbs from the kitchen’s garden and local produce, all in season and organic. Matched expertly with world-class wines from their extensive wine cellar. To destress tired muscles whilst absorbing more panoramic views from the hot tub or unwind in the sauna, before heading to the restaurant or your deck for a well-earned sundowner.

In close collaboration with the Ministry of Environment & BC Parks, the Tweedsmuir Park Lodge diligently monitors wildlife in its vicinity. It adopts an eco-friendly approach by recycling all glass, bottles, cans, and packaging, as well as composting food and landscape waste. The property relies exclusively on water sourced from a mountain well and provides guests with reusable bottles. To minimize environmental impact, only non-motorized boats are employed on their rivers, and they strongly advocate for catch & release fishing practices.

Why we love it

Operating on the traditional territory of Nuxalk and Ulkatcho first nations, experience the magnificence of these cultures on a guided tour through 10,000 years of ancient songs and stories. See the giant cedar forests on Walker Island and visit a mind-blowing petroglyph stone carving with a guided expert who can interpret their meanings. It adds a fascinating mystical layer to the already ethereal landscape.
