Sustainability

In close collaboration with the Ministry of Environment & BC Parks, the Tweedsmuir Park Lodge diligently monitors wildlife in its vicinity. It adopts an eco-friendly approach by recycling all glass, bottles, cans, and packaging, as well as composting food and landscape waste. The property relies exclusively on water sourced from a mountain well and provides guests with reusable bottles. To minimize environmental impact, only non-motorized boats are employed on their rivers, and they strongly advocate for catch & release fishing practices.

Why we love it

Operating on the traditional territory of Nuxalk and Ulkatcho first nations, experience the magnificence of these cultures on a guided tour through 10,000 years of ancient songs and stories. See the giant cedar forests on Walker Island and visit a mind-blowing petroglyph stone carving with a guided expert who can interpret their meanings. It adds a fascinating mystical layer to the already ethereal landscape.
