Madagascar is a truly unique destination, renowned for its lush and diverse ecosystems and is recognised as one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. It is the only place where you can observe lemurs in the wild, with over 100 species of lemur, alongside countless other unique wildlife that cannot be found anywhere else.

With a strong focus on eco-tourism, Madagascar is a haven for conservation-minded travellers, allowing visitors to contribute to the protection of its endangered species and fragile ecosystems. Unlike many other destinations, Madagascar remains relatively uncrowded and off the beaten path, offering an authentic sense of adventure and discovery.

This prize trip will take you through keys regions of Madagascar, beginning with your arrival night in the capital and cultural heart, Antananarivo. Here you will have a morning to explore the city with your guide before setting off for your onward adventure.

From there, you’ll travel to the east coast for a three-night stay to explore the Andasibe-Mantadia National Park region. This area is home to 14 species of lemur, including the iconic Indri Indri, and offers exceptional wildlife viewing and hiking opportunities with professional guides, providing a deeper understanding of these endangered species.

Your journey will then take you to the west coast of Madagascar, with internal flights provided by Madagascar Trans Air, to a beautiful peninsula and private reserve. Here, you will enjoy a luxurious five-night stay at Anjajavy le Lodge, a Relais & Châteaux property. This stunning property offers guests access to a 1,030-hectare private reserve, featuring seven diverse habitats including baobab trees, mangrove forests, and pristine wild beaches. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the area’s marine life, unique flora and fauna, and experience the traditional way of life.
