Makgadikgadi Pans National Park

A group of six individuals walking in a line across a dry, open landscape during sunset. They are dressed in traditional attire, with some holding spears, and the sun casts a warm glow on the scene.

Travel from Maun to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Spanning an area greater than Switzerland, the salt pans are the largest in the world. Marvel at their dramatic appearance when the pans are at their driest and wildlife is never far away. Being the only permanent water source, the Boteti River attracts migratory waders and a rich array of resident game.

Kalahari Game Reserve

A cheetah standing alert on a rocky outcrop, with its distinctive black spots and a bushy tail, set against a blurred natural background.

Stark landscapes and flat arid plains; this is the Kalahari Game Reserve. Boasting one of the highest cheetah concentrations in Southern Africa, the reserve is also home to the San people who have lived in the desert for more than 20,000 years. On game drives in open land rovers, receive in-depth knowledge of bushcraft, flora, and fauna from your expert guides. A Bushman walk develops your understanding of San culture and how they lived and survived in the harsh Kalahari Desert. Delight in a fresh picnic spread in the renowned Deception Valley, true to its name, a mirage-style effect makes the dry, arid plain appear to be filled with water, creating a bizarre and mesmerising impression. Being an internationally recognised Important Birding Area, Kalahari Game Reserve is a must-see for birders.

Okavango Delta

Aerial view of a winding river meandering through a vast, open landscape with green fields and scattered trees under a clear blue sky.

Your adventure continues to the Okavango Delta, the world’s largest inland delta, offering an oasis of meandering channels, islands, marshes and floodplains. The river discharges 11 cubic kilometres of water annually, causing the landscape to burst into life with colour and nature. Witness an abundance of elephants, hippo, giraffe, lion, leopard and buffalo to name a few. Cover large distances as you drift downstream in your aluminium boat, game watching, birding and relaxing on board. Boat safaris enable you to get extremely close to animals in their natural habitat.

A person on horseback stands between two elephants in a tall grass field, with trees in the background. The scene is bathed in warm, golden light.

Horseback riding offers a different, yet equally enthralling perspective of the delta as you gallop across the water meadow. From your horse, get even closer to wildlife and immerse yourself in the vibrant nature that surrounds. As the sun sets, you will arrive at your overnight camp on an unfenced remote island. Enjoy sundowners in this beautiful setting and a three-course meal prepared by your private chefs. Picture wilderness living with all the creature comforts.
