Nestled peacefully in the serene southern wilderness, Skálakot Manor is in its fourth generation of family managing the property, maintaining strong Icelandic values and traditions. With only 14 bedrooms, this beautiful property is completely exclusive, feeling more like a welcoming home than a hotel. The interiors are styled with art deco furnishing, carefully crafted to create an enchanting and welcoming atmosphere in each room.

The food reflects the manor’s passionate Icelandic hospitality, using fresh local produce to create unique traditional flavors and dishes, whilst the restaurant hosts a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.

Activities

Built as an extension to the family’s own farm, the owners hold a long tradition of Icelandic horse breeding, who make charming companions for daily excursions. Set out on a horseback adventure exploring towering peaks, roaring waterfalls and black-sand beaches. As well as horses, Skálakot Manor boasts a plethora of activities and excursions to choose from to ensure that you can get the best out of this wild and wonderful landscape.
