Georgie Dixon

Travel Executive

Growing up in the City of London started Georgie’s appreciation for diverse cultures and experiences. During holidays growing up Georgie spent most of her time on the coasts of Wales and Cornwall fuelling her passion for nature and the outdoors. This was further fuelled when her and her family moved up to Yorkshire for her teenage years.

Since then, Georgie has spent as much time as possible journeying across the globe with friends. Among these adventures, her highlights include stints in Central America, safaris in Kenya and six months in the Swiss Alps, where she was able to blend skiing with the beautiful alpine scenery.

Georgie started her experience within the travel industry, specifically to wine. Merging her interest to explore and learn, with viticulture, she is excited to bring this knowledge to Pelorus and learn even more!

Number one unforgettable travel experience?

I went on a safari to Kenya last year to East Tsavo. After driving around the park with my Kenyan friend, we didn’t manage to spot any elephants (my favourite animal), but as we sat down for dinner overlooking the watering hole that evening, two elephants strolled out of the bush and straight past us drinking our G&T’s, it was a special experience!

Top of your travel bucket list?

The list is long but I really want to explore more of Africa. I’d love to visit the Serengeti or see Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, or experience mountain gorillas of Rwanda! If not Africa then the beaches of Indonesia!

Who is your ultimate travel partner?

My best friend Tilly. She is a keen traveller, and having lived in Verbier with her for six months and travelled all over with her she is vital for a smooth running, and action-packed experience. Tilly encouraged me to spend two weeks surfing in Costa Rica with her, which I was hesitant to do because of my abilities but it was incredible!
