Introducing you to a new world of mystery and intrigue, Pelorus’ third installment of the Mission Impossible-inspired series is set in none other than the world’s sensory centre - India. From the moment you land in Mumbai until your mission concludes in Hyderabad, you will move as an operative on assignment, following a trail of clues that leads from city streets into dense jungle, across winding rivers and forgotten tombs, and finally, to the heart of one of the world’s most ancient empires.

SURYA’S STORY

Touching down in Mumbai, your mission begins. What if India’s greatest secret in modern history was never hidden in a government vault, but in plain sight? Recruited into a covert operation, you are tasked with recovering a long-lost military secret, allegedly created in the lead-up to India’s nuclear program in the 1970s. With only the name “Agent Sarita” to guide you, each new location reveals fragments of code, connecting ancient knowledge and modern scientific discovery to expose the dark forces at play during Bombay’s colonial rule.

Race across the “City of Dreams”, through the living fabric of the historical center, as you uncover clues hidden within the everyday rhythms of local life. From the iconic train station to a street-food stall selling vada pav and through the colorful streets of Colaba, today’s inquiries will immerse you in the heart of Mumbai. Later, as night falls, there is also the option for an additional side quest - infiltrating a private exhibition of folk art from Shajapur to recreate Ghost Protocol’s iconic scene, searching amidst music, art and dancing for the first piece of the puzzle - the name of your next destination.

DISCOVER THE DENWA

With new information uncovered, it’s time to venture deep into the jungle. Fly east to the fringes of Satpura National Park, before setting out on a reconnaissance jeep safari into the region’s ancient forest, a landscape of deep valleys, cascading waterways and sprawling teak. Track the movements of tiger, sloth bear and leopard alongside your specialist guides as the light begins to fade. Here, your senses heighten in your new jungle environment, as you prepare to cross this stretch of tiger country on foot, trekking and spending the next two nights sleeping under canvas.

The following morning, you leave the vehicles behind. Departing at first light, begin a full-day trek to an abandoned military site. The trail descends steeply through the forest and traces a stream that forms the lifeblood of the jungle, leading to where a private mobile camp has been set up along a sandy stretch of the Denwa River, exclusively for you. Your second day of trekking follows the river’s course as you navigate the high sand banks and narrow waterways that may call for wading knee-deep to reach your second camp, with only the eagles and vultures that nest on the cliffs above around you for company.

TALES OF TUNGABHADRA

Your mission moves to Hampi, where the landscape changes dramatically from dense forests to a surreal world of towering granite boulders and forgotten temples. Uncover the ancient capital of the Vijayanagara empire from above, rising before dawn for a hot air balloon flight over Hampi’s ancient skyline. Gazing over the crumbling shrines, watch as the winding Tungabhadra River slowly emerges from the mist below – and its significance becomes clear. In the cool morning light, set out on foot along the ancient Virupaksha Trail, ascending the sacred slopes of Hemakuta Hill, where the next chapter of this intriguing story is revealed.

This afternoon, you must swiftly navigate the ancient market streets of Vithalapura, once a thriving commercial quarter where merchants from Persia, Portugal and across Asia traded precious gems, spices and silks. At its heart stands the magnificent Vijaya Vittala Temple, celebrated as the finest expression of Dravidian architecture in southern India. Marvel at the iconic Stone Chariot as a local historian brings the legends etched into the surrounding walls to life, expertly revealing the hidden meanings of each intricate carving.

THE MUSI MYSTERY

The last leg of your mission carries you to Hyderabad, where ancient and modern converge. Few cities guard their secrets as closely as the “City of Pearls”, which you will soon discover as you search the vibrant lanes of Laad Bazaar, where generations of artisans continue to handcraft Hyderabad's celebrated lacquer bangles. Hidden behind bustling storefronts and workshops, the “Agent Sarita” network emerges, leading you to the magnificent courtyard of the Mecca Masjid, one of India's grandest mosques. Here in the Old City, you will uncover the true link between the shores of Bombay, the first part of your mission, and the source of many of its greatest treasures, as you work to retrieve a hidden object from the shadows.

Tonight, stay in an exquisitely restored palace originally built for an influential nobleman of the Hyderabad court. Donning your finest traditional attire, prepare for a glittering royal reception unlike any other, where you will receive your final instructions. In a final act of espionage, uncover the alliances and decisions that helped shape the destiny of one of India's wealthiest kingdoms, bringing the final chapter of this remarkable story to a fitting end. Rising early, venture to the summit of Golconda Fort before concluding at the Qutb Shahi Tombs, one of India’s most magnificent mausoleum complexes, finally solving the mystery that has long been buried alongside the seven sultans, and successfully completing your mission.
