With over 500 years of history on this single estate, Quinta de Ventozelo is one of the oldest and largest estates in the region with more than 500 hectares of active vines. The estate is now evolving into a new chapter of life, one which highlights agriculture and wine production, whilst introducing its visitors to wine tourism and exceptional hospitality. Situated across wide-ranging altitudes, you will be introduced to a diversity of soils, microclimates and grape varieties which stem from these extraordinary vineyards.

The various buildings peppered throughout the estate were constructed and renovated to respect their surroundings, each boasting modern architecture to complement the original framework. The spacious suites are decorated with traditional features that portray the ancient trade which has existed on the estate for years. From age-old wine storage tanks, to books on wine, the interiors are brimming with thoughtful touches and endearing details, making you feel entirely at home.

You will discover exquisite flavors at Cantina de Ventozelo, the hotel’s first-class restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Highlighting the authentic, regional cuisine of the Douro, Chef Miguel Castro e Silva has developed a phenomenal gastronomy using ingredients grown on the Quinta estate and throughout the region.
