When we first told friends we were traveling to Mexico for five weeks with our baby, most people thought we were mad. Traveling that far, with a six month old, and working remotely at the same time felt ambitious even by Pelorus standards. But for us it was an opportunity to live what we believe in, that adventure can evolve with family life rather than pause because of it.
Over the past several weeks, I have been traveling through Mexico, working remotely, exploring new destinations, and discovering how this extraordinary country continues to redefine the art of travel. It was a journey that blended work and family life, research and reflection, and served as an opportunity to explore how Pelorus creates experiences that combine purpose, adventure, and connection.
This was also my first major trip abroad with my six month old son, and that in itself reshaped how I viewed travel. What I found was not limitation but possibility. With careful planning and the right rhythm, adventure with a young family becomes something new: slower, deeper, more observational, and in many ways even more meaningful.
