At Pelorus, we believe in inspiring the next generation and that’s where our Junior Adventure Host comes in. They ensure that our young travelers have a dedicated guide to lead them through a journey filled with excitement, education, and growth. Our travel designers and adventure hosts collaborate with you and your family to create tailored shadow itineraries, maximizing engagement for younger travelers while giving parents the opportunity to enjoy their own unique moments.

Personalized Shadow Itineraries

Alongside the whole family experience and bespoke itinerary, Pelorus can create parallel travel plans, curated specifically for the children. We understand that young travelers have different interests and energy levels , which is why we will craft experiences with their interests and hobbies in mind. The shadow itinerary can also be presented to each child to help shape the adventure, allowing every member of your family to have the most memorable experience for them.

What could a shadow experience look like?


Our Adventure Hosts are passionate educators and adventure enthusiasts bringing excitement and learning throughout your vacation.

Whilst on a thrilling snowmobile experience in Finnish lapland, we can arrange for your children to enjoy a magical sleigh ride before listening to fairytales from the local Sami culture. Or, whilst you are enjoying your scuba diving experience in Mozambique, your children can take part in vital ocean research, tagging whales and dolphins. Or, for those who enjoy engaging with local cultures, whilst you are exploring the monasteries in Bhutan and meeting the monks who live there, we can arrange for your children to meet with local children and learn the different ways of life.
